His pioneering technique, Endoscopic Ultrasound Guided Selective Variceal Devascularization (EUS-SVD)，was listed as one of the six clinical technological breakthroughs by the American DDW in 2019. It is suitable for the first and secondary prophylaxis of variceal bleeding from gastroesophageal varices and the emergency treatment of the massive bleeding from esophageal and gastric varices.
