FAHZU signed Memorandum of Understanding with Stanford Health Care in 2012, to collaborate in designing a leading, international-standard medical center, aiming at comprehensive cooperation in physician training, telemedicine and talent exchange visits.

After that, the high-level officials of the two sides exchanged visits frequently, and constantly promoted multidisciplinary dialogues. In 2015, the two sides formally established leaders’ group for promoting the cooperation of Stanford Healthcare and FAHZU. In 2016, the two sides renewed the memorandum of cooperation.

At present, both sides have carried out exchanges and cooperation in tumor radiotherapy, cardiovascular surgery, thyroid surgery, breast surgery, pain management and other fields. FAHZU sent 19 medical staff to Stanford for exchange and study, and both sides jointly published more than ten papers. For three consecutive years, the cooperation project between the two sides has received special funding from Zhejiang University Education Foundation.
