CKD Specialized Nursing Practice

Program Overview

The Kidney Disease Center of FAHZU is a premier kidney disease treatment and research facility in China. It holds the title of National Clinical Key Specialty and was ranked fourth in the country by the 2023 STEM "China's Hospital Science and Technology Measurement Value". By means of integrated replacement therapy for end-stage renal disease and Consolidated management of chronic kidney disease. Our facility has an internationally advanced 20-year survival rate for patients with end-stage renal disease. In order to train nursing professionals worldwide on the continuum of care services from early diagnosis to the end stage of the disease, we have created the International Exchange Training Program on Integrated Care and Management of Chronic Kidney Disease by combining the center's professional strengths.

From early diagnosis and treatment to end-stage renal disease, the program offers thorough training on the care and management of chronic kidney disease (CKD). This includes the use of appropriate Chinese medicine techniques, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, renal transplantation, and other pertinent treatment modalities. Important topics covered in the training include cardiovascular risk reduction, nutritional assistance, dialysis access management, complication prevention and treatment, renal replacement therapy care, and patient education. In addition to improving their abilities in the comprehensive treatment of patients undergoing peridialysis, participants will acquire a thorough understanding of the integrated management of chronic kidney disease. The program prioritizes the creation of individualized treatment plans, early intervention techniques, and nutritional management while adhering to the most recent worldwide norms, aiming to enhance participants' clinical practice skills through precise training.

Program Highlights

· Practice-oriented: Combine clinical practice with instruction in practical skills.
· International standards: adhere to the consensus and recommendations of Chinese renal disease experts as well as international standards and guidelines like KDOQI and KDIGO.
· Personalized care: The creation of care plans tailored to each patient's unique circumstances is emphasized.
· Application of Artificial Intelligence: Showcase how artificial intelligence technology can be used to train and monitor dialysis patients with end-stage renal illness.
· Multidisciplinary cooperation: To provide integrated and thorough patient care and management, highlight the cooperation between medical teams and pre-renal, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and transplantation care teams.

Training Objectives

1. To cultivate global experts capable of providing comprehensive treatment and management for chronic kidney disease.
2. To slow the advancement of renal function and improve participants' specialized nursing abilities in renal puncture.
3. To improve peritoneal dialysis patients' case management and remote monitoring abilities.
4. Develop professional abilities in vascular access management and hemodialysis technology innovation.
5. To enhance postoperative comprehensive health management and kidney transplantation nursing practice.
6. To encourage interdisciplinary cooperation and improve integrated chronic renal disease treatment innovation and practice.

Program Duration

The program offers 4 weeks to 3 months of full-time training. In exceptional cases, the amount of time spent practicing in a particular field can be adjusted to suit your needs and interests.
