MOU Yun, Echocardiography and Vascular Ultrasound

Program Overview

This program is designed to train early-career researchers and students, focusing on cutting-edge research in carotid plaque artificial intelligence. Its aim is to equip participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing them for applications in carotid ultrasound artificial intelligence(AI). The target group includes graduate students and researchers who are passionate about cardiovascular diseases and the application of artificial intelligence in ultrasound.

Program Highlights

· Weekly mentorship meetings with Prof. MOU and a multidisciplinary research team

· Real-time involvement in clinical trials and translational research projects related to cardiovascular diseases

· Development of practical inquiry skills that integrate medicine and engineering using the latest artificial intelligence research methods

Training Objectives

· Understand the principles of artificial intelligence and its applications in clinical medicine

· Master the analytical methods of artificial intelligence to gain experience in clinical trial design and analysis

· Cultivate skills in scientific writing and grant application

Program Duration

8 weeks

Research Overview

The focus of artificial intelligence in cardiovascular diseases includes:

· Entry points for clinical problems

· Standardized procedures for acquiring ultrasound images

· Exploration of machine learning and deep learning applications

Projects:

1. AI analysis of carotid plaques

2. AI analysis of patients with hypertrophic phenotypes

3. AI diagnosis of cardiac tumors

Target Audience & Qualifications

Undergraduate students:

Candidates should be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in biology, biochemistry, or a related field. Prior coursework in ultrasound is preferred. Basic proficiency in English is required.

Graduate students:

Candidates must be enrolled in a Master's, M.D. program in radiology. Familiarity with research methodologies and ultrasound techniques is required. Fluency in English is mandatory.

Doctors:

Candidates must hold an M.D. degree with clinical experience, preferably in radiology or ultrasound medicine. Research experience is not mandatory but is a strong advantage. Applicants must be fluent in English
