SHU Jing, Reproductive Medicine

Program Overview

This program is tailored to train researchers and students in assisted reproduction and mitochondrial medicine. It aims to equip participants with both scientific research of mitochondrial diseases and the technology of mitochondrial replacement therapy. The target group includes graduate students, research fellows, and postdoctoral researchers passionate about assisted reproduction medicine.

Program Highlights

Access to advanced laboratory technology, including intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI) and mitochondrial replacement therapy.

Assisted Reproductive Technologies (In Vitro Fertilization - Embryo Culture, Oocytes and embryo Vitrification , Embryo transfer )

Real-time follow up the research strategies and methods of mitochondrial diseases

Opportunities to publish articles or abstracts in peer-reviewed journals and present research posters or papers at conferences

Weekly mentorship meetings with Prof. GUAN and a multidisciplinary research team

Training Objectives

List the prospected outcome and goal of the program.

Understand the research strategies of Mitochondrial disease

Develop proficiency in laboratory techniques, such as ICSI and spindle-chromosomal complex transfer

Gain experience in assisted reproduction laboratory procedures

Research Overview

Preclinical study of novel assisted reproduction techniques to block mitochondrial genetic diseases

Ferroptosis in endometriosis

Oxidative stress in endometriosis

Projects:

1.Methyl 3,4-dihydroxybenzoate alleviates oxidative damage in granulosa cells of endometriosis

2.Mechanism of UC-MSC transcellular mitochondrial transport to improve

energy metabolism of ovarian granulosa cells and interfere with ovarian senescence
