Program Duration

The program provides a full-time, 2-week to 6-month training experience. In special circumstances, arrangements can be made for other lengths of training depending on your needs and interests.


Target Audience & Qualifications

• Fellows and residents:

1. Residents and fellows currently enrolled in a residency or fellowship program with a focus on trauma care, emergency medicine, surgery, or a related field.

2. Residents and fellows who have completed relevant clinical rotations and have experience in trauma care.

3. Residents and fellows who have a strong academic record and a commitment to advancing their knowledge and skills in trauma care.

• Students:

1. Students currently enrolled in a medical school program with a demonstrated interest in trauma care.

2. Students who have completed relevant coursework and clinical rotations in trauma care or emergency medicine.

3. Students who have a strong academic record and a commitment to pursuing a career in trauma care.


Focus Areas & Skills

1. Trauma Assessment and Management: Participants will learn how to assess and manage trauma patients effectively, including initial evaluation, stabilization, and triage.

2. Surgical Techniques and Procedures: The program will cover advanced surgical techniques and procedures commonly used in trauma care, such as wound management, fracture fixation, and organ repair.

3. Critical Care and Resuscitation: Participants will gain knowledge and skills in critical care management, including respiratory support, hemodynamic monitoring, and resuscitation techniques.

4. Multidisciplinary Collaboration: The program emphasizes the importance of collaboration among different healthcare professionals in trauma care, including surgeons, emergency physicians, anesthesiologists, and nurses.

5. Ethical and Legal Considerations: Participants will learn about the ethical and legal considerations in trauma care, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and end-of-life decision-making.

0900-0930: Opening Ceremony and Introduction to the Program

0930-1100: Session 1: Trauma Assessment and Management

Topics Covered: Initial evaluation, stabilization, and triage of trauma patients.

At the end of the workshop program, participants will be asked to complete an evaluation form to provide feedback on the program.
