As professor of internal medicine, senior physician and doctoral supervisor of Zhejiang University, Dr. YU is a Leading Talent in Science and Technology Innovation of the National Ten Thousand Talents Plan, Young and Middle-aged Leading Talent in Science and Technology of the Ministry of Science and Technology and Outstanding Talent of the Ministry of Education in the new century, and successively selected as the second-tier, the top-tier and key funding of 151 Talent Program in Zhejiang Province, and High-level Innovative Healthcare Talent of Zhejiang Province. He is well experienced in clinical, teaching and scientific research work of diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases and owns expertise in diagnosis and treatment of digestive endoscopy. From 2009 to 2011, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the US. He has led a great number of national-level scientific research projects, including the National Key R&D Plan, the projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the sub-projects of the 973 plan. He also has published, as the first author (including co-author) and correspondence author (including co-author), many papers in top journals including Gut., J Hepatol., Am J Gastroenterol., J Exp Med., etc.
