Lifetime profressor of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University，College of Medicine. Working as a surgeon for nearly 60 years, served as the chairman of the first Colorectal Branch of Zhejiang Medical Association and the chairman of Stomatological  Committee of Zhejiang Anticancer Association. Finished a pilot study on developing our country first generation rectum stapler to obtain Zhejiang province outstanding science and technology achievement awardciation. Finished a pilot study on the electrocoagulation method of muscle welding to stop presacral hemorrghage. The paper was published in the journal of the American college of surgeons. Later, it was included in the continuing education textbooks of the United States and Canada. At the annual meeting of the American Colorectal Surgeons in Chicago, the method of stopping massive presacral hemorrhage by electrocoagulation of muscle welding was praised as the most effective method and should be learned by every pelvic surgeon. Finished a pilot study on creating a self-closed diverting stoma which can save the trouble of a closure procedure for the patients with temporary diverting stoma, the paper was published in the British Journal of Colorectal Disease.
