Obtained the bachelor's degree of clinical medicine and master's degree of pathology from Zhejiang Medical University in 1984 and 1989 respectively, and received doctor's degree in internal medicine from Zhejiang University in 2008. Has worked in the department of gastroenterology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University Medical College since 1989. Served as the director of the department of nutrition in 1997, vice director of gastroenterology in 2000 and the director of digestive endoscopy center in 2013 respectively.

Gastrointestinal endoscopic techniques, especially endoscopic resection of early gastrointestinal cancer and tumor, endoscopic myotomy of achalasia, endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of esophageal and gastric varices, endoscopic recanalization of gastrointestinal stenosis, establishment of enteral nutrition pathway, endoscopic hemostasis, foreign body extraction, endoscopic ultrasonography and related treatment.
