I started my career as a surgeon after graduation from Jiangxi Medical College in June 1997. In order to improve my ability and exploit my knowledge in managing general surgical patients, I studied in Medical College, Zhejiang University for 3 years and received my medical master's degree in 2004. I worked as a general surgeon in the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine (FAHZU) after graduation. I realized that surgeons will play important roles in immunotherapy treatment and research in solid cancer in future during my working in FAHZU Therefore, I came to the immunology institute, Hannover Medical College, Germany and did my doctoral research work with Prof. Reinhold Foerster from November, 2006 to March 2009. After receiving my medical doctor degree, I returned to FAHZU. From October to December in 2018, I accepted short-term surgical training in Division of Digestive Surgery, Shizuoka General Hospital, Japan. At present, I am working as a senior surgeon in the department of gastrointestinal surgery, and exploring the mechanisms of plasmacytoid dendritic cells mediating the immunosuppressive microenvironment in gastric cancer.
