Xu Zherong is a Associate Senior Physician and the associate director of Geriatric Department. He acquired Doctor of Medicine degree from Zhejiang University in 2012. He has been engaged in the clinical and scientific research work of senile diseases for more than 15 years, especially the diagnosis and treatment of sarcopenia, senile diabetes, senile cardiovascular disease. He acted as visiting scholar in Gerontology and Giriatric Medicine of Wake Forest University from 2015.10 to 2016.9. He is undertaking the project of national natural science funding and 2019 national key research and development plan. Published 6 articles (5 SCI) as the first or corresponding author within 5 years. Participated in the compilation of the 12th five-year plan of the people's health publishing house -"gerontology". Also served as the editor of “Aging Medicine (Milton)”, the communication editor of “Chinese journal of geriatric medicine”.
