Professor Tong is the chief of MDS center. Since 1993, she has been working in the heamatology department. With 27 years clinic experiences, Professor Tong has excellent clinical and basic research results in the field of malignant myeloid blood tumors especially in MDS. The MDS center which leaded by her was certified as the Center of Excellence in the diagnosis and treatment of the MDS by the MDS Foundation and has conducted many clinical trials of MDS. So far, more than 140 papers have been published, among which more than 60 SCI papers. As the first or corresponding author, she published 35 papers in journals including Haematologica, SCI Rep, J Translational Med, Plos One, J Cancer Res Clin. She presided over 4 general projects of the national natural science foundation of China, 7 provincial key projects and provincial advanced projects. As the main accomplisher, she won a second prize of national science and technology progress award, a first prize of provincial science and technology progress award, and 7 items of second prize of provincial science and technology progress awards.
