Professor WU Jian is the Deputy Director of Department of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. He graduated from Zhejiang University School of Medicine(1996), obtained doctorate in surgery(2001), and studied in Cleveland Medical Center and Queen Mary Hospital of Hongkong University as visiting scholar. He was enrolled as member of “New Century 151 talent project” (2008), “Zhejiang Province Hygiene Science and Technology Innovation Talent project” (2014).

The principle sphere of his research is hepatobiliary, pancreatic and splenal surgery, liver transplant and Minimally invasive surgery. Professor WU mainly focus on diagnosis and treatment of intra/extrahepatic cholangiolithiasis and benign/malignant tumor derived from liver, bile duct, pancreas and spleen, especially hepatocellular carcinoma, pancreatic adenocarcinoma, hilar cholangiocarcinoma and gallbladder cancer. He is a skillful expert in liver/hilar tumor resection, liver transplant, pancreaticoduodenectomy, pancreatic body/tail resection, splenectomy, cholecystectomy, and laparoscopic surgeries.
