CHEN Baode, Ph.D., serves as the Deputy Director of the Clinical Laboratory Medicine Department at the First Affiliated Hospital,  Zhejiang University School of Medicine and holds the title of Chief Technician. He obtained his Master’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics from Chongqing Medical University in 2003 and earned his Doctoral degree in Internal Medicine (Infectious Diseases) from Zhejiang University in 2025. Since 2003, he has been working at the hospital for over twenty years and currently holds the position of Quality Management Director of the Laboratory Department at the Yuhang Branch. Throughout his tenure, he has led the establishment of flow cytometry, mass spectrometry, and genomics platforms, and has directed team research on early diagnostic strategies for liver cirrhosis and liver cancer. He has authored more than 30 academic papers, contributed to 5 textbooks or monographs, and secured multiple provincial and ministerial research grants focused on metabolic disorders, autoimmune liver diseases, and hepatitis B virus mutation detection.

Dr. Chen has long been dedicated to the field of clinical laboratory testing, with extensive experience across multiple disciplines such as microbiology, biochemistry, hematology, and immunology. He possesses a solid theoretical foundation and rich practical expertise. Particularly in the area of immunological testing, he focuses on the development of diagnostic markers and their translational application in clinical diagnosis and treatment.

In the past five years, Dr. Chen has published four SCI papers as the first author and received the first prize of the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Award as one of the main contributors.
