XU Weiyi joined the hospital in 1993 and has been working there since. From 2009 to 2020, he served as head of the inpatient laboratory in the Department of Laboratory Medicine, where he was responsible for the daily management of the laboratory, quality control of laboratory testing, and the resolution of complex technical issues encountered in routine work. Since October 2020, he has been working in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at the Yuhang Campus, where he is responsible for quality control of routine clinical laboratory testing and the review of complex morphological diagnostic cases.

XU Weiyi has led and participated in 5 provincial- or ministerial-level projects. He has published more than 30 academic papers, including 4 SCI-indexed papers as first author. He is a co-author of four professional monographs, a contributor to one invention patent and the principal inventor of one utility model patent.
