Since 1994, Yang Dagan has successively held the positions of Laboratory Technologist, Department Secretary, Technical Supervisor, Quality Supervisor, and Deputy Director of the Clinical Laboratory Department, with primary responsibility for laboratory accreditation and certification.

Yang Dagan has led 12 scientific research projects and has published 12 SCI-indexed papers as first or corresponding author, along with over 50 Chinese-language papers. He has served as chief editor of 4 monographs including Digital and Intelligent Clinical Laboratories and Handbook of Clinical Specimen Collection, and participated as deputy editor or contributing author in 11 other monographs. He has contributed to the formulation of 7 standards and was granted 2 invention patents.
