Dr. XU Nong is a Chief Physician and Master's Supervisor. With 40 years of specialized experience in medical oncology, he has undertaken advanced training abroad and national GCP certification. He has conducted pioneering clinical research in the field. As the Lead Principal Investigator and head of the oncology group at the National Drug Clinical Trial Institution, he has overseen 120 clinical trials: 46 Phase I, 31 Phase II, 42 Phase III, and 1 Phase IV, including 16 international multicenter trials and 16 where his institution served as the leading PI.
He has participated in the clinical development of China's independently developed targeted and immunotherapeutic agents, such as targeted drugs Icotinib, Apatinib, and Fruquintinib; PD-1 monoclonal antibodies including Toripalimab, Sintilimab, Camrelizumab, and Tislelizumab; PD-L1 monoclonal antibodies like CS1001 and GR1405; dual immune antibodies AK104 and SHR1701; anti-HER2 ADC drugs RC48 and BB1701; and the BRAF inhibitor HL-085. He has led early-phase clinical trials for the PD-1 mAb AK105, the FGFR inhibitor MAX-40279, the dual immune antibody IBI110, and the anti-VEGFR2 mAb AK109.
His research findings have been presented at major international conferences such as ASCO and ESMO. Several of the drugs involved have been approved for market and incorporated into Chinese clinical guidelines.
