Dr. Wang is an Associated Attending Surgeon at First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. He is the mentor for graduate students on the major of Oncology.

He was graduated from Wenzhou Medical University for his MD degree in 2005, and Zhejiang University School of Medicine for his PhD degree in 2010. He was a research fellow in Cornell University Medical College from 2014 until 2016.

His clinical and research interests lie in the field of thyroid cancer and gastric cancer. He has published articles in many peer-reviewed journals, including Cancer, Annals of Surgical Oncology and Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism. He is the PI of grants from National Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and National Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province.

He plays a strong role in Medical English teaching and training, serving as Director of the Medical English Teaching section of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine since 2019.
