Prof. Xie Liping is the Emeritus Director of Department of Urology, The First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, P.R. China. He is holding the medical license both in China and Germany. Prof. Xie’s career interest is experimental and clinical work in the field of urological oncology (especially prostate cancer), BPH, and minimally invasive urology. He has innovatively developed a series of new procedures to treat BPH, including Transurethral vapor enucleation and resection of the prostate (TVERP), Transurethral vapor enucleation of the prostate (TVEP), and Ultrasound navigated TVERP/TVEP. Relative techniques have been reported in “Journal of Endourology” and “Asian Journal of Urology”. He has been invited to many countries to demonstrate TVERP, including Germany, etc. SIU has generalized TVERP as educational resource by online “SIU Academy”. Prof. Xie has launched a Multi-center project on ultrasound CT with artificial intelligence (AI-US-CT) in early diagnosis of prostate cancer with Prof. Tillmann Loch in Germany. AI-US-CT targeted prostate biopsy could significantly promote detection rate of prostate cancer. Prof. Xie has been dedicated to translational research on RNA activation (RNAa) in the field of urologic oncology, especially prostate cancer, and published more than 30 relevant original articles.
