Biography
Dr. QIN Jichao began his university education in 1992 at Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, where he engaged in clinical and research work at its affiliated Tongji Hospital. He later spent a total of four years as a postdoctoral fellow at renowned institutions such as the MD Anderson Cancer Center in the United States. He has received funding from the U.S. Department of Defense for his postdoctoral research and has since returned to China to lead multiple research projects, including five general projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation. He was recognized as a New Century Excellent Talents by the Ministry of Education in 2012, a HuaZhong Scholar in 2013, a ChuTian Scholar in 2014, and a Huazhong Outstanding Scholar in 2019. His research focuses on tumor stem cells, tumor cell heterogeneity, and the tumor microenvironment. He has published multiple research papers as the first author or corresponding author in renowned international journals such as Cell Stem Cell and Cancer Research. His articles as a corresponding author have been repeatedly selected as highly cited papers in the Essential Science Indicators (ESI).

Qin Jichao has extensive experience in the field of gastrointestinal surgery, particularly in the diagnosis and treatment of various gastrointestinal diseases, inguinal hernia, and abdominal wall hernia. He excels in the minimally invasive surgical treatment of diseases such as gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, and hernias. He is an important practitioner of anatomical membrane surgery and has conducted continuous surgical demonstrations and live broadcasts nationwide for many years.
