Dr. Han is a Deputy Chief Technologist, Special-Appointment Researcher, and Master's Supervisor at The First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine. A former long-term Visiting Scholar at Stanford University Medical Center, he is a leading researcher in the precision diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. His work focuses on the standardization, clinical translation, and application of complex molecular diagnostic technologies, particularly rapid pathogen molecular detection and metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS).
As Principal Investigator, he has led two National Natural Science Foundation of China projects and key tasks under national major scientific programs, including the National Key R&D Program. He has authored or co-authored over 50 SCI-indexed papers as first or corresponding author in prestigious journals such as npj Digital Medicine, EBioMedicine, Clinical Chemistry, and Journal of Infection (h-index: 25). His research has been recognized as a "Leading-Article 5000" top academic paper in China. He was named an "Outstanding Young-to-Mid-Career Scholar in Clinical Microbiology" by SIFIC in 2023.
