As the head of the Immunology Subdivision in the Department of Laboratory Medicine, YAO Yifan is responsible for the daily internal and external quality control of the immunology section, ensuring the accuracy and comparability of test results. He leads the immunology-related on-site assessments for ISO 15189 accreditation, which are conducted every two years.
In research, YAO Yifan mainly focuses on the innovative clinical application of endocrine-related in vitro diagnostic markers and scoring models. To date, he has published three SCI-indexed papers (with impact factors of 8.49, JCR Q1; 3.786, JCR Q1; and 0.848, JCR Q4). He has also participated in one National Key R&D Program of China as the second contributor out of three team members.
