Dr. GU Xinhua has been working at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang Medical University (now the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine) since 1985. He received a Master of Medical Science from the School of Stomatology, Hubei Medical University (now the School of Stomatology, Wuhan University) in 1994, completed advanced training at the Dental School of Kiel University, Germany, in 1999, and was awarded a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2003.

Dr. GU has been working at the Dental Medical Center of the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine since 2003. He was promoted to Associate Chief Physician in 2002, Chief Physician in 2007, and appointed as a Doctoral Supervisor at Zhejiang University School of Medicine in 2010. From 2018 to 2022, Dr. GU concurrently served as Vice Dean of the Zhejiang University School of Stomatology. He currently serves as the disciplinary leader in Dental Implantology and Prosthodontics at the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine.

Dental implantology and prosthodontics, with particular expertise in full-arch implant rehabilitation, esthetic implant restoration, implant treatment for patients with insufficient bone volume, and the comprehensive management of complex implant-prosthetic cases.

Principal Investigator of more than 10 research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and the China Scholarship Council
