Dr. Tang holds a Ph.D. jointly awarded by Zhejiang University and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Dr. Tang participated in two consecutive terms of the Zhejiang University-organized medical aid mission to Xinjiang (the 10th and 11th batches) under the Central Organization Department’s program and completed advanced training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Australia.

Dr. Tang has led four provincial/ministerial-level research projects and has published more than ten academic papers in domestic and international journals.

· Complex vitreoretinal surgery (especially vitreous hemorrhage, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, high myopia-related fundus lesions, complex ocular trauma

· Phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation

· Diagnosis and treatment of challenging medical retinal and neuro-ophthalmic conditions, including diseases of the choroid, retina, and optic nerve.
