Born in July 1971 in Heze, Shandong Province, Dr. WANG is of Han nationality and a member of the Communist Party of China. He holds a Doctor’s degree in Neurosurgery from Shandong University School of Medicine and has been engaged in clinical work since September 1995.

Currently, he serves as the Deputy Director of the Department of Neurosurgery, Chief Physician, and Professor at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University. The research focuses on functional neurosurgery, with long-term dedication to basic and clinical studies on intractable epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and cognitive dysfunction of neuropsychiatric diseases. He has presided over 3 National Natural Science Foundation projects and 8 provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects, published over 200 academic papers (including more than 80 SCI-indexed papers), and edited/compiled 22 monographs.
