Biography

As a clinician scientist, Dr. Sun specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma and cataracts. Of particular interest is how newer technologies can be used to better monitor glaucoma. Dr. Sun has been working in the First Hospital since graduated from Zhejiang University with honors. She went to Beijing Tongren Hospital for a year of further study. In 2016, she visited Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary at Harvard Medical School in the United States.

Dr. Sun has been engaged in clinical ophthalmology for more than 10 years. She has solid theoretical knowledge and rich clinical experience. She has published over 10 peer-reviewed papers. Dr. Sun has presided over 2 provincial and departmental projects, and has participated in many national and provincial projects. In addition to her clinical and research responsibilities, Dr. Sun teaches and mentors medical students, residents, and fellows.

 Glaucoma: Surgical glaucoma treatments including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS)

 Cataracts: Phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation

 Laser
