Dr. Zhu has over 20 years of clinical experience, specializing in cataract, vitreoretinal diseases, and ocular trauma. Dr. Zhu also focuses on addressing age-related near-vision decline (presbyopia) in individuals over 40, including those with concurrent refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.
Dr. Zhu received advanced training at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in the United States, where Dr. Zhu studied under leading professors in retinal diseases and neuro-ophthalmology. Dr. Zhu has published more than 10 professional papers, five of which are indexed in SCI, and has led or participated in several provincial level research projects. Her areas of expertise include: comprehensive cataract surgery (including refractive correction with multifocal/toric intraocular lens implantation, cataract combined with glaucoma or diabetes, traumatic cataract, and lens subluxation/dislocation), vitreoretinal surgery (for retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, macular diseases, etc.), precise visual assessment and integrated management of cataracts, presbyopia, and high myopia (full range visual needs for distance, intermediate, and near vision).
