Dr. Yu graduated from the school of medicine of Zhejiang University in 1995 and obtained the master's degree in orthopedics from the school of medicine of Zhejiang University in 2001. In 2010, he studied spine surgery in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Peking University. In November 2013 and September 2014, he was a visiting scholar of spine surgery in the Medical College of Incheon University in South Korea and spine surgery in Kuching hospital in Malaysia. He has been engaged in medical treatment, teaching and scientific research for more than 20 years, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of spine and spinal cord diseases.
