The Department of Pediatrics was established in 2013, is one of the youngest departments of the hospital. It's a comprehensive department engaged in medical treatment, medical research and medical education. It consists of clinical, general pediatric ward, and neonatal ward. There are 2 professors / senior attendings, 2 associate senior attendings, 1 supervisor for PHD students and 1 master's supervisors. It has achieved domestic advanced level in children's endocrinology. At present, the annual out-patient amount is more than 30,000 and the discharge amount is over 2,000 which include more than 100 premature newborns. Our pediatricians and researchers have also published multiple articles in journals such as the journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, World journal of Gastroenterology, Genetics.
Prof. Chunlin Wang is the Chairman of Department of Pediatric. Prof. Wang's career interest is experimental and clinical work in the field of children's endocrinology, especially short stature, obesity, precocious puberty and genetic diseases.
