The Reproductive Medicine Center of the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine was founded in August 2011. Our clinical service is provided at 6D of Building 1 in Qingchun Campus, 3A of outpatient building in Yuhang Campus and 2C of outpatient building in Zhijiang Campus. The center has two laboratories: an embryo laboratory with laminar flow to perform assisted reproductive techniques, and an andrology laboratory to process routine semen examination, morphological analysis, seminal plasma biochemistry.

The Reproductive Medicine Center currently employs 51 medical staff, including 21 clinicians (1 andrology specialist), 11 embryologists, 2 male laboratory examiners, 1 research fellow, 10 nurses, and 6 medical assistants. Among the clinicians, there are 3 senior consultants, 2 associate consultants, and 1 specialist with MRCOG qualification and UK GMC registration.

The Reproductive Medicine Center provides various medical services including:

- Artificial Insemination with Husband's Semen (AIH)

- IVF / ICSI-ET, blastocyst culture, and frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET)

- Female fertility preservation (egg freezing) for medical indications

- Multifetal pregnancy reduction (MFPR)

- Ovulation monitoring

- Hysterosalpingo-contrast sonography (HyCoSy) ±anesthesia

- Hysteroscopy ± dilatation and curettage surgery (Outpatient)

- Laparoscopic surgery for benign gynecological diseases, especially related to infertility (Day surgery)

- Ovarian cyst aspiration under ultrasound guidance

- Percutaneous Epididymal Sperm Aspiration (PESA), Testicular sperm aspiration (TESA), and Microsurgical Epididymal Sperm Aspiration (MESA).

The center completes nearly 3,000 IVF cycles and above 1,600 gynecological surgeries every year. The pregnancy rate of AIH is achieved stable at 15-20%. The pregnancy rate of IVF/ICSI is achieved stable at 60-70%, and the cumulative pregnancy rate is above 80%.

Our center so far obtained 2 national-level scientific research projects and 3 provincial Natural Science Foundation grants. We published 7 SCI papers. Our main research focus includes female infertility, male infertility, female reproductive endocrinology, decreased ovarian function, preservation of female fertility, and recurrent miscarriage.
