On July 4th, a delegation of American university student council leaders visited the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine (FAHZU), marking a new chapter in U.S.-China youth exchanges.
The delegation comprised students from prestigious institutions like Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Chicago, and UC Berkeley, etc., embarking on a month-long study tour of China. FAHZU served as a key stop for them to gain insights into China's healthcare advancements.
Prof. ZHENG Min, Vice President of FAHZU welcomed the students and outlined the medical center's achievements and future plans in healthcare innovation and international collaboration. Zadie Wei Guo, a freshman from the University of Texas at Austin, spoke on behalf of the delegation, expressing keen interest in China's higher education and technological advances, particularly in mobile health and telemedicine.
The event also included discussions on artificial intelligence and telemedicine in healthcare, where American students showed great interest in the innovative practices at the medical center. The delegates toured the facility, observing its integrated outpatient services and cutting-edge simulated teaching equipment.
