As an important component of the "Far-Reaching" Overseas Practice Program of the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, our delegation of faculty and students officially visited Gulf Medical University (GMU) in the UAE in August 2025, embarking on a two-week in-depth academic exchange. We sincerely appreciate GMU’s thoughtful arrangements and warm hospitality, which provided an outstanding academic platform and valuable practical opportunities for this exchange.

On GMU’s advanced medical education platform, our students engaged in immersive training at Thumbay Labs, Thumbay Hospital, and the Precision Medicine Research Institute. Through systematic hands-on practice, research seminars, and cross-cultural project collaboration, they significantly enhanced their international perspectives and clinical innovation capabilities. During the visit, the team also carried out overseas promotional activities highlighting Zhejiang University and FAHZU, and conducted questionnaire surveys to gain in-depth insights into the needs and challenges of international medical education, providing critical data support for future cooperation.

Through this high-level, practice-oriented international dialogue, all eight members of the delegation not only successfully completed the training courses and received completion certificates but also built strong academic friendships with GMU faculty and students. We firmly believe that this exchange will inject new momentum into China-UAE medical collaboration and research synergy. The First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine will continue to uphold the philosophy of openness and innovation, cultivating more outstanding medical talents with a global vision, and contributing FAHZU wisdom to the building of a global community of health for all.
