NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine Delegation Visits FAHZU

On the morning of October 22nd, Professor Chong Yap Seng, Dean of the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore (NUS), led a delegation to visit the Yuhang Campus of The First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine (FAHZU). The delegation was warmly received by WEI Guoqing, Vice President of FAHZU, ZHANG Jing, Vice President of Yuhang Campus, and HU Xin, Director of the Department of International Affairs.

 

The NUS delegation conducted an on-site visit to various facilities including the Central Laboratory, International Healthcare Center, Outpatient Pharmacy, Smart Logistics System, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Department of Pathology. During the visit, they experienced the organ-centered one-stop outpatient service and the full-process guided diagnosis and treatment service system. The delegation gained in-depth insights into FAHZU's integrated patient diagnosis and treatment model and multi-disciplinary joint clinic, fully experiencing the efficient and convenient medical service empowered by digitalization.

 

During their tour of the Intensive Care Unit and Department of Pathology, the NUS delegation spoke highly of FAHZU's breakthroughs in enhancing medical staff efficiency and improving clinical diagnosis accuracy. Specifically, they commended FAHZU for independently developing the Critical Care AI model and the pathology assistant OmniPT based on cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology.

 

Both parties exchanged views on the development in smart healthcare between the two countries and the future possibilities of applying digital and intelligent technologies in clinical medicine. They expressed their expectation to carry out more extensive and in-depth discussions and cooperation in the future, contributing more to advancing smart healthcare for the benefit of mankind.
