In July 1986, he graduated from the Department of Medicine, Zhejiang Medical University.  Since 1986, he has been working at the First Affiliated Hospital, College of Medicine, Zhejiang University. He is now a full professor and chief Doctor in Echocardiography and Vascular Ultrasound Center of Qingchun campus and Medicine and Ultrasonography of Zhijiang campus. From Nov 1997-1999, Professor Zheng pursued medical studies and research as a visiting scholar at the University of Kiel, Germany and obtained a Medical Doctor Degree. He has published more than 80 articles in journals in the field of Ultrasound in Medicine, and supervised more than 50 graduate students.
