In 2012, FAHZU established a series of international joint research centers with the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and cooperated in tackling key problems in infectious diseases, liver diseases and other fields, and achieved important clinical research fruits thereafter.

In October 2014, the Collaborative Innovation Center for Diagnosis and Treatment of Infectious Diseases, led by Zhejiang University, and Hong Kong University as core unit, was approved by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education, and became the only national collaborative innovation center in the medical field in China.

In addition, FAHZU also conducted personnel exchange visits and academic exchanges in the field of bone marrow transplantation with many medical institutions such as Queen Mary Hospital in Hong Kong, and many Hong Kong patients came to FAHZU to seek medical treatment, thus deepening mutual understanding and friendship.
