Overview

Department of Medical OncologyⅠof FAHZU is a specialized department integrating medical treatment, teaching and scientific research. We have established a standard process for diagnosis, treatment and follow-up intending to emphasize the concept of standard of care, individualized and whole-process management. We have established a multidisciplinary team for medical care, education, research and application capable of systematic diagnosis and treatment skills in gastrointestinal, esophagus, head and neck cancer.  

As a clinical pharmacology base in oncology of the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), we have hosted and participated in more than 100 global and domestic clinical trials including phase I,II,III study involving targeted therapy and immunotherapy. In addition, our researches focus on hotspots of novel agents, immune or targeted treatment, and conduct individualized treatment strategies based on novel technologies such as next-generation sequencing, liquid biopsy, PDX and organoid models, thus to improve diagnosis technology and treatment efficiency.


Our Team

Our department consists of 15 oncologists and scientists, many of whom have gained national and international recognition for their clinical efforts. We are always committed to finding treatments and cures to improve the lives of patients with cancer.


Treatments and Services

We provide the most advanced treatments for conditions including but not limited to:

Head and neck cancer

Breast cancer, Lung cancer, thymic carcinoma

Esophagus, gastrointestinal, colorectal cancer

Liver, cholangetic, pancreatic cancer

Urological cancer

Ovary, endometrial cancer

Soft tissue sarcoma, cancers of unknown primary site and neuroendocrine tumors

 


Research & Innovation

The research direction covers tumor individualized precision therapy, clinical trials of new drug development, PDX, organoid tumor model, tumor neoantigens therapy and the development and application of tumor database follow-up system.It has undertaken 103 clinical trials. We have received 2 national Natural Youth Fund, 2 provincial major special projects, 2 provincial projects, 8 provincial natural Fund projects. We have published 48 SCI articles and edited 2 monographs on oncology. 

 


Education & Training

As a training base for doctors and masters in oncology, it undertakes the teaching tasks of clinical eight-year doctors, masters in oncology, medical undergraduates and postgraduates, and visiting oncologists. We have trained a total of 7 master's students.
